The high prevalence rate and low consultation rate in the oral market are factors that promote the rapid development of the industry. The data shows that there is a large gap in the scale of the dental industry between China and the United States in 2019. The United States is much larger than China. Among them, the US dental industry market size in 2019 was 822.82 billion yuan; while the Chinese dental industry market size was only 103.5 billion yuan. In March 2019, Ping An Securities pointed out in a research report that under consumption upgrades, the potential market size could reach around 200 billion yuan.
Dental auxiliary materials account for the proportion of the dental market. Based on market share of 1.1% in the mainland market in 2014, an increase of 18% year-on-year, the market share in 2019 was 2.13%, and its mainland market revenue was HK$500 million. It can be inferred that dental accessories accounted for 22.6 %. By 2025, the dental market will reach 207 billion yuan, of which the dental accessories market will reach 46.7 billion yuan.
